Meet Dr. Scott Ludlow
Dr. Ludlow loves working with children because it gives him a chance to make a positive impact that will literally help them throughout their entire life. His goal with each child is to provide enjoyable, informative, and productive dental experiences that make both the little one as well as their parents happy. He can’t wait to get to know your favorite smile, and below, you can learn a little more about him.
Why Did You Decide to Become a Dentist?
Before becoming a dentist, Dr. Ludlow was a combat medic in the Army reserves, and as a result, he spent a lot of time with physicians, EMTs, nurses, and dentists in the course of his regular duties. The dentists and oral surgeons always raved about their profession, and Dr. Ludlow got to see firsthand how dental care could change people’s lives. He was also drawn to the technical and artistic aspects of dentistry, so he decided it was the career for him.
Where Did You Study Dentistry?
Dr. Ludlow earned his dental degree from the Texas A&M Baylor College of Dentistry, and then he spent two years receiving advanced training for pediatric dentistry at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center. Today, he is a board-certified pediatric dentist and is on staff at Children’s Health Hospital of Dallas and Children’s Health Hospital of Plano. He is also a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and the American Dental Society of Anesthesiology.
Outside of the Dental Office, What Do You Like to Do?
Life at home is wonderfully busy for Dr. Ludlow and his wife thanks to their six children, two boys and four girls. He is passionate about foster care and adoption because he believes that a strong family can make a huge difference in the lives of children who have been dealt a more difficult path. On the lighter side, he is also an avid sports fan and enjoys reading and watching movies.
