As an orthodontist near Carrollton, Dr. Patel knew from an early age that he wanted to help people. After shadowing at various hospitals and dental offices throughout high school and college, he discovered dentistry and knew it would lead to a rewarding career.
After earning his dental degree at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio with high honors and distinctions, he earned a certificate in orthodontics and a Master of Science in oral biology at the University of Nebraska Medical Center. In 2020, he became board-certified by the American Board of Orthodontics.
Now, he is a member of the American Dental Association, the Texas Dental Association, the American Association of Orthodontists, and the American Academy of Orthodontists.
Outside the office, he enjoys playing football, basketball, and volleyball. He also plays Indian and American drums, a hobby he has embraced since he was five.
Dr. Layth
With a gentle touch and calming demeanor, Dr. Layth is a general dentist near Carrollton who strives to help patients feel comfortable and confident from beginning to end. His path to dentistry included various pursuits in healthcare; however, what he appreciated most was how dentistry impacted patients’ lives.
This led him to attend the University of Texas at Dallas for his undergraduate degree before completing his dental degree at UT Health School of Dentistry in Houston.
When he’s not busy transforming smiles, you’ll find him with his friends and family, as well as staying active, playing pickleball, and exploring new food spots throughout the city.
Dr. Nguyen
As a general dentist near Carrollton, Dr. Nguyen earned her bachelor’s degree in biology at The University of Texas at Dallas before completing her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at New York University College of Dentistry.
Her decision to pursue dentistry stems from her passion for helping others. Her ability to build long-lasting relationships with her patients is what she enjoys most. With a compassionate approach and tried-and-true methods, she remains committed to providing comfortable, confident care to every patient.
Outside the office, you’ll find her crocheting, watching movies, trying new restaurants, traveling, and spending time with her family and friends.
Dr. Joon
Providing exceptional dental care in East Texas since 2021, Dr. Joon is a general dentist near Carrollton who provides a wide range of services, including preventive, cosmetic, restorative, and emergency dentistry.
Earning his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the NYU College of Dentistry, he remains actively engaged in continuing education. In addition, he is a member of the American Dental Association and the American Academy of Implant Dentistry. He is currently working toward his Associate Fellow designation.
When he’s not busy in the office, he is with his wife and their sweet fur baby. He also enjoys watching Korean dramas and trying out the local culinary scene.
Dr. Hwangpo
With seven years of experience as a pediatric dentist near Carrollton, Dr. Hwangpo brings a calming, gentle approach to his young patients.
Drawn to the side of dentistry that focuses on children and teenagers, he enjoys helping little ones overcome dental anxiety while also building a trusting relationship with them. He believes this establishes a positive foundation for a lifetime of good oral health.
After earning his Doctor of Dental Surgery from the New York University College of Dentistry in 2019, he completed a pediatric dentistry residency at NYU College of Dentistry in 2025.
From 2019-2023, he served as a commissioned officer and general dentist in the United States Army.
In addition to his educational and professional background, Dr. Hwangpo speaks Spanish fluently, enabling him to provide better care to Spanish-speaking families in the area.
Outside the office, he enjoys traveling, trying new foods, gaming, and most of all, spending time with his wife, their dog, and several cats.
